  • The opportunity and what makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work

  • Use technology to change lives.

    What you'll be doing:

    •  Lead and develop the Configuration Team, creating a high-performing environment where people can grow their skills and expertise.
    •  Translate person-centred assessments into effective technology-enabled solutions tailored around an individual’s needs.
    •  Configure, test and develop technology for both prototype and live environments.
    •  Work with IoT and software providers to test new devices and explore new use cases.
    •  Take ownership of TEC asset management, including equipment deployment, retrieval, stock management, asset records and troubleshooting.
    •  Maintain and continually improve our TEC product catalogue and support protocols.
    •  Ensure technology is thoroughly tested, safe, secure and backed by appropriate failover processes.
    •  Work closely with operational colleagues to make sure technology is delivering the right outcomes in practice.
    •  Help colleagues, the people we support and their families understand and embrace technology.
    •  Scan the technology landscape for new devices, products and innovations that could improve the way support is delivered.
    •  Work collaboratively with Learning & Development colleagues so teams have the knowledge and confidence to use new technology effectively.
    •  Use stakeholder feedback and data to continually improve our TEC solutions.
    More than just technology

This role needs someone who can understand the technology while never losing sight of the person using it.

You'll work with people we support, families, carers, operational teams and health professionals, so you'll need to be able to take technical information and explain it in a clear, straightforward and jargon-free way.

You’ll be comfortable questioning how things have always been done, looking for better solutions and encouraging others to embrace change.

Just as importantly, you’ll understand that when technology forms part of someone’s support, reliability, safety and quality really matter.
  • About you:

  • What we’re looking for:

    •  You’ll bring a strong combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and people skills.
    •  An IT qualification such as an HNC, HND, BTEC or other IT industry qualification, together with evidence of continuing professional development.
    •  Experience of providing technical IT support.
    •  Experience using a care planning system or another health and social care IT system.
    •  Experience of asset management.
    •  An understanding of person-centred support.
    •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    •  The ability to think creatively and find practical solutions.
    •  Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
    •  Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
    •  Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
    •  The confidence to challenge the status quo constructively and respectfully.
    •  A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience within health or social care and configuring enterprise-wide systems would be advantageous.

    The person behind the technology

Technical capability is important, but your approach will matter just as much.

We’re looking for someone who is curious about emerging technology and excited by what it can make possible.

Someone who can lead and coach others, collaborate with people from very different backgrounds and keep asking:

“How can we make this work better for the person we support?”

You’ll challenge accepted ways of working when there’s an opportunity to do something better, while always putting safety, quality and the needs of the individual first.

    Why this role matters

Technology Enabled Care has the potential to fundamentally change how support is delivered.

Done well, technology shouldn't take away the human element of care. It should help create greater independence, choice and control, while enabling colleagues to provide truly person-centred support.

As TEC Configuration Team Leader, you'll have the opportunity to combine your technical expertise, leadership skills and creativity to help make that happen.

If you want your next technology role to deliver more than systems and solutions, and you want to see the difference your work can make to people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note, if you are interested in this role, we welcome your application as soon as possible! Depending on the volume of applications received, the vacancy may be closed before the expected advertising end date.
