At this service in Aberdeen, we support individuals with a wide range of needs to live as independently as possible in their own flats. The individuals you'll be supporting range in age from 29 to 71 and enjoy lots of great activities, so we're looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals.
Some of the individuals we support are non-verbal and use Makaton to communicate, so previous experience using Makaton would be great.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support people to play pool, go to work placements, do arts and crafts, play video games, garden and spend time out in the community visiting local cafes or attending events.
Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with:
• Medication administration
• Cooking and home maintenance
• Positive behaviour support
• Social support and support to achieve personal goals
• Managing the finances of the people we support
Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday and this will include some sleepover shifts. Our shift patterns can vary, but some examples of typical shifts are listed below: - 10am - 10am the next day (includes sleepover) - 8am - 4.30pm - 8am - 6pm.
We are currently recruiting for bank staff.
