    About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • You will be working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns to live their daily lives.  Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible with them.

    Our Shifts

Varied shifts covering between 8am to 10pm Monday to Sunday

    Contract

Full time & Part time (permanent)

We are proud to offer support that is flexible and adaptable and work with individuals to ensure each support plan is up to date, reflecting how the person would like to live and what support is required to do so.

Driving licence required? No, but you must be confident travelling across Aberdeen by car or public transport, as the people we support live in different areas of the city.

    What You'll be doing

You may be supporting someone living on their own, with a partner, or with their family. The support we provide is across different areas of the Aberdeen community, including Torry, Northfield, Summerhill, Mastrick, Seaton, Bridge of Don, Garthdee and Cults, to name a few. As the people we support live in different locations, you will need to be able to travel between areas using your own car or local bus routes.

This role would suit someone who already has some practical experience in social care, support work, or a similar caring environment, and who is confident supporting people with different needs in a calm, respectful and person-centred way. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who already have hands-on experience supporting people in a social care setting, especially where individuals may have complex needs or behaviours that require a calm, confident and person-centred approach.

Travel time between supported people is paid, and agreed travel expenses are reimbursed in line with our expenses policy.

The Community Living Project aims to enable individuals to lead the most independent lives possible and supports the development of skills and achieving outcomes agreed within person-centred support plans.  We offer Housing Support as well as Social Support for all ages from 18 years to Elderly age, with a mixture of abilities and desires.  In Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire we support over 100 people, which requires a large team of support staff.
