    About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • We are currently recruiting for a new team member for our service which supports 8 individuals in their own homes in the Parkhead area of Glasgow.

Here we support individuals from the ages of 44 to 73 with a wide variety of complex health needs, including epilepsy, visual impairments and diabetes to ensure they live the best lives possible.  For most of the people we support, this includes full moving and positioning support, meals, accessing the community, medication and personal care.

In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy some of the same activities as each other, such as parties, arts and crafts, attending community events, shopping and going out to eat.  However, they also enjoy their own individual activities, including listening to music and attending chapel and would love people with similar interests to support them.

To ensure the people we support have freedom to do the activities they enjoy, our shifts start at 7am and finish at 9pm.  We support these individuals 7 days a week, so require flexibility to work some weekends, waking nights and days on a rota basis. A UK driving licence is also advantageous for access to service vehicles.

  • About you:

  • What we're looking for

The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!

We like people who are reliable and honest and can communicate well with everyone.so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart.
