    About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • We are currently looking for a Full Time Female Support Worker in our Denny service. (36 hours per week)

In this service, we support one lady to live independently in her own flat.  The lady we support has a learning disability, Autism and mental health concerns, so we are looking for individuals who have previous experience supporting an individual with Autism and Mental Health and can encourage and support her to become more independent.

In the past, the lady we support has faced a lot of challenges but has been living in her own home for over two years.  She continues to learn new skills every day and enjoys socialising, listening to Abba, getting dressed up and pampered, going to lunch club and going out to a nightclub once a month with her friends.

As well as the activities the person we support enjoys, our team also support her with:

    •             Medication
    •             Cooking
    •             Assisting with personal care
    •             Supporting her to maintain her home and finances

The current shift pattern here is from 10am – 10am the next day (includes sleepover 11pm-8am).  We also provide some 2:1 support 5 hour shifts during the day including evenings and weekends, but the shifts for this can change depending on what the lady we support wishes to do.

This role is not working a set day each week, so the successful candidate must have availability from Sunday - Saturday.work

We can also consider Bank/Casual work.

A driver is an advantage for this role but not essential.

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required.  This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010
