We are recruiting for Support Workers to expand our team in Alloa. Here we support one lady and three gentlemen to live independently within their own home. Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday, including some sleepovers.
The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, visual impairment and mental health issues, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life!
What you'll be doing
Our support team are experienced and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:
• Supporting with taking medication
• Cooking
• Assisting with personal care
• Maintaining the homes of the people supported and managing their finances
Individually, the people we support enjoy writing, listening to music, watching movies and chatting. They are very motivated and always up for trying new things too, so are looking for inventive and supportive people who are up for the challenge.
They enjoy lots of activities together, including cycling, spending time in their community, accessing religious groups, going line dancing, pub quizzing and curling.
A UK driving license would be a big plus for this role!
