    We're looking for a talented Bid Writing Specialist to join our ambitious Business Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional writer who can transform complex information into compelling, persuasive proposals that win new business and support the growth of services that make a genuine difference.
     
    This is a temporary 6 month fixed term contract with attendance required at least once a week at our head office in Widnes so our ideal candidate will be based within an hours commute of our head office in Widnes.

  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • As our Bid Writing Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our growth strategy, creating high-quality tender submissions, framework applications, presentations and business proposals that showcase our expertise, innovation and values.
     
    Working closely with operational teams, subject matter experts and senior leaders across the organisation, you'll identify key commissioning priorities, develop winning bid strategies and produce engaging content that clearly articulates our value proposition.
     
    From analysing tender opportunities and conducting research to writing compelling submissions and supporting tender interviews, you'll play a crucial role in helping us secure contracts that enable us to extend our impact across communities throughout the UK.
     
     What you'll be doing:
     
    •  Writing and developing high-quality tender responses, ITTs, PQQs, EOIs, framework applications and bespoke proposals.
    •  Reviewing and analysing tender opportunities to identify risks, opportunities and strategic fit.
    •  Conducting research into commissioners, market conditions and sector priorities to strengthen bid submissions.
    •  Collaborating with operational teams to gather evidence, case studies and service information.
    •  Managing tender timelines, milestones and contributor engagement to ensure successful submissions.
    •  Developing engaging presentations and supporting tender interviews where required.
    •  Maintaining and enhancing our bid library, case studies and supporting documentation.
    •  Analysing feedback from successful and unsuccessful bids to continuously improve performance.
    •  Supporting wider business development initiatives, market testing exercises and service development activities.

    You'll be a confident and highly organised bid professional with outstanding written communication skills and a passion for producing high-quality content that delivers results.
     
    You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
     
    Essential Skills and Experience
     
    • Experience writing successful bids and tenders within a business development environment.
    • Excellent written English, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
    • Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into compelling, customer-focused responses.
    • Experience coordinating contributions from multiple stakeholders.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
    • Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
    Desirable
     
    • Experience securing contracts within the social care, health or third sector.
    • Knowledge of social care commissioning, legislation and regulation.
    • Understanding of procurement processes and public sector tendering.
    • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
    • Knowledge of Community Integrated Care and the wider social care sector.
