We are recruiting for Support Workers to expand our team in Wick. 30 hours per week. You will be supporting a friendly sociable gentleman to be confident, stay safe and live independently aswell as accessing the local community.
Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9am - 9pm and some ad hoc weekends and occasional sleepover.
Ideally you will be a driver as he has his own mobility vehicle so important can support with maintaining this.
What you'll be doing
Our support team are experienced and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:
• Supporting with taking medication
• Cooking
• Assisting with personal care
• Maintaining the homes of the people supported and managing their finances
Individually, the gentleman we support enjoys swimming, social clubs, attending college, arts and crafts, gaming, cooking and baking.
We are therefore seeking patient, sociable, reliable, encouraging colleagues with a great sense of humour to help maintain these activities.
Previous experience of disabilities such as Learning Disability, Autism, Epilepsy etc would be an advantage.
