There are 3 bedrooms but currently I live on my own. My support team is important to me because I need assistance to live my best life possible. I have autism and need support going out into the community to do my shopping and attend appointments. I need prompting and supporting with aspects of my personal care. My support team encourage and promote my independence where possible. I have both male and female staff there is no preference
I enjoy pub lunches in the local community where I enjoy a coke zero with no ice chips and warm chocolate fudge cake with cream, attending day service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s, going cycling on a Saturday at wheelers where I have my own tricycle which is red, bowling, discos, and walking in the local parks When I have house mates I occasionally like going out together on trips. A mixture of male and female support works well for me and good listening skills are essential. Routine is important to me and I like things a certain way so its vital that support team get to know this. I have a car so ideally I would like support staff that can drive but this is not essential as I do enjoy using public transport
We have a minimum of 2 colleagues on shift at a time.. At night time we have a Waking night member of staff. There are additional 1:1 support hours in place for some of us.
