Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you a fun-loving and motivated person who is interested in a Care Assistant / Support Worker role?
Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported?
If this sounds like you, maybe a role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!
We are recruiting for Female Support Workers to support individuals in our Dumfries service to live independently in their own homes.
The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities and mobility issues, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! The ladies enjoy lots of activities, including going out for lunch, picnics, art groups, swimming, knitting, jigsaws and going to parties.  However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.
Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes.  This can include:
Supporting with medication administration
Cooking
Assisting with personal care
Maintaining the homes of people supported and helping to manage their finances
Our team provides support 24 hours a day (days and sleepovers) and we are currently recruiting for bank Support Workers who want to work flexibly around their current commitments.

Your values:

The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!

We like people who are reliable and honest, so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart.
