Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a brand‑new service in Culcheth, Warrington, supporting two adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs and behavioural needs to live happy, meaningful and independent lives in their own homes.

The service is set within a purpose‑built building, separated into two individual homes, each with their own garden, living spaces, and staff areas. Both individuals are proud of their independence, and your role will be to support them with their routines — not to do things for them. Consistency is incredibly important, as both people thrive when supported in familiar, predictable ways.

What the people we support want you to know:

  • They are very independent and like to stay busy every day
  • They each have their own routines, hobbies and personal interests
  • They enjoy being active members of their community
  • They value kindness, warmth, honesty and people who “get stuck in”
  • They enjoy company but also value their own space and downtime
  • They do not enjoy being told what to do or having their choices taken away
  • They get on well with most people, as long as support is respectful, fun and consistent

Both individuals have access to their own cars, so you’ll be part of supporting them to get out and about for activities, appointments and hobbies. The service is located on a quiet cul‑de‑sac just off a main road, with excellent links to Warrington, Manchester, Wigan and Liverpool. There is ample parking outside the building.

Staffing model:

One person requires 1:1 support at all times and 2:1 when out in the community
The second person requires 2:1 support at all times

The existing team are trained in: Administration of medication, Active Support, CPI and PBS

As an Advanced Support Worker, you’ll bring your experince and will mentor colleagues, role‑model best practice, think creatively, and adapt support styles to meet individual needs. You’ll bring enthusiasm, problem‑solving skills, and the confidence to work consistently as part of a strong, committed team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, make a genuine difference, and be part of an exciting new service built on choice, independence and meaningful outcomes.

Your values:

We’re looking for an Advanced Support Worker who brings heart, integrity and a passion for person‑centred care.

You’ll share our organisational values:

  • We Include
  • We Deliver
  • We Aspire
  • We Respect
  • We Enable

You will be someone who:

  • Understands the importance of independence and empowers people to lead their own lives
  • Is calm, patient, warm and kind in all situations
  • Is proactive, dependable and consistent in your approach
  • Can adapt support styles to meet individual needs
  • Enjoys teamwork and brings out the best in colleagues
  • Can mentor others and share your experience confidently
  • Values dignity, safety, choice and respect
  • Believes in supporting people to make their own decisions
  • Never shies away from getting involved, learning, or contributing new ideas

Ideally, you’ll hold a Level 3 Qualification in Social Care and have strong experience in areas such as mental health, autism, learning disabilities and complex care.  If you don’t have a qualification but bring significant experience in social care, we’d still love to hear from you, and you can work towards the qualification alongside your new role!

Most importantly, you’ll bring the right mindset, commitment and values to support two individuals to live their best lives possible.

During recruitment, you’ll have the chance to meet the people who live in the service — so you can understand their personalities, routines and support needs firsthand.
