Community Integrated Care is recruiting for an Advanced Support Worker, with flexible shift patterns.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

This is a complex service - supporting one lady with autism, learning disabilities and some element of mental health 
 

What does this person enjoy doing? 
 
This lady enjoys:
  • Outdoor activities, going for drives and long walks
  • She loves music and dancing to Cardi B and Janet Jackson
  • She is fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings 
  • She enjoy spending time with family, especially around Christmas time

She values her independence and also appreciates quiet time and personal space. Your role will be to support her in living life on her terms—building positive relationships, engaging in her interests, and feeling safe and empowered every day.

What are we looking for? 

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in health or social care settings, specifically within Autism and mental health 
  • A positive, upbeat attitude and a genuine passion for person-centred support
  • Confidence in supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities/mental health needs and behaviours that require thoughtful, proactive planning
  • An understanding or knowledge of positive behaviour support practices

Other Important information?
 
  • There is always at least 3 colleagues on shift.
  • We like our staff to work Mornings 8am to 8pm, I would really appreciate if my support staff is a driver as I need to go out for a drive at least twice a day. This makes me really happy and calm.
In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have specialist training in, autism and learning disabilities and mental health

 


Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.  

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care. 

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.  

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System. 

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
