Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We are looking for support staff who can support a young lady in a community 2:1 basis. We are also looking for support staff for full time and part time positions. This is a new and exciting opportunity for this young lady to live in her own tenancy following a move back into the area she originally came from. She has a hearing impairment and so people with patience and clear communication skills a must. This young lady can get distressed at times and will require support to manage this, staff will be required to work closely with professionals to follow strategies, guidelines and plans in place to maintain safety of this young lady. She enjoys shopping, cinema, theatre and trying new activities to keep her busy. You will be trained in the use of Makaton but if you have experience of this it would be beneficial. We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you will be required to be flexible to work on different days, including some weekend work. Our shift pattern varies includes: 10pm - 8am.  We are currently recruiting for a full-time  waking nights (37.5 hour) posts and we will also consider part time.
