At Moredun, we support 7 individuals who live in their own homes in the Gilmerton area of Edinburgh and are recruiting for one of our core teams in the service.

In this team, you’ll support 6 gentlemen with mental health concerns, autism and physical disabilities to live independently in their own homes.  The men we support enjoy a wide range of activities, including socialising, watching movies, shopping, cooking, sports, music and travelling.  However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

Experience of Positive Behaviour Support would be beneficial in this team, but if you’ve not got this, we’ll provide the training you need to ensure you’re successful in your role.  We are currently recruiting for a 37.5 hour post on a permanent contract.

In both teams, you can expect to support individuals with:

Medication administration
Cooking and home maintenance
Social support and support to achieve personal goals
Finance management

Our teams provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days and sleepovers, which will include some weekends.  
 
Our shift patterns can vary but are generally:
- 8am - 10pm
- 9am - 7pm
- 8am - 2.30pm
- 2.30pm - 10pm
- 10pm - 8am (Sleepover)

Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31 March 2025 your pay with be £12.50 and then from the 1st April 2025 , this will increase to £13.01
