Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We are seeking 2 additional staff members. 1 x Full Time, and 1 x Part Time (16hrs pw)
 
We are three adults with ages ranging from 25 – 74 years old. One female and two males.
Our names are Margaret Walker, Harry Grice, and Christopher Frank.
Two of us are mobile and one is a wheelchair user.
We all need support around our Home which includes personal care.
We also need support to access the community.
We have different health challenges such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, anxiety, and learning disabilities.  
One of us has a blended diet.
We have an experienced staff team trained and familiar with supporting our various challenges.
 

What is important to us

  • We enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, carriage riding, and going out for long drives including going on holidays.
  • We all own cars to enable us to go out and about and our staff team drive us.
  • We like listening to music, going out for coffee and meals at restaurants.
  • Throughout the week some of us attend Day Centres and College
  • We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space.
  • We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy and noisy as this upsets us.
  • we love spending time with staff members and like to watch them cook.
  • We also like visits from our family members
 

Other information

  • There is always a minimum 3 staff on each shift during the week and 5 at weekends to enable us to go out and about into the community.
  • Monday to Friday there is staff who drives to enable us to attend our Day Centres.
  • At weekends we love to go on buses
  • Staff shifts are:
    Mornings - 7am to 3pm
    Afternoon - 1pm to 9pm and
    Nights - 7pm to 7am.
    We also have a Sleep-in shift.
    Long shifts – 7am – 9pm are available to staff if required.
  • To enable us to live the best life possible our staff team have specialist training in epilepsy, peg feeding, moving and positioning and in learning disabilities.
