Community Integrated Care is recruiting to expand our current team of Support Workers in Huntly! As a Support Worker, your role will be to support individuals within their own homes, ensuring they are able to live as independently as possible and are supported to make decisions and live amazing lives! In Huntly we support several people and care for them in their own homes, the town has good train and bus links. As a care assistant you will be helping people with Learning disabilities such as Autism, Mental health and some Physical needs. The people we support are active in their local community, enjoying activities such as swimming, going to cafes, music and pamper sessions, so we are looking for people who are fun, active and enjoy supporting others to live the best lives possible. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate and resilient individuals to join our supportive and dynamic team, providing care and guidance to adults with learning disabilities.

That's why we are dedicated to ensuring that all our colleagues are fully trained on the needs of the people we support. We provide specialised training in Epilepsy and Safety Interventions. (Safety intervention training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to manage challenging behaviors and potentially volatile situations, often focusing on de-escalation techniques and safe physical interventions)
This Role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure and committed to promoting dignity and respect at all times.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting individuals with personal care, routines, and independent living skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and using de-escalation techniques when needed
- Helping individuals engage in meaning full activities at home and in the community
- Working closely with family’s, health professionals and the wider support team
- Maintaining accurate records and following care plans and managing finances.
- Element of Written and computer work will be required for this role to ensure all documents are up to date and daily notes recorded
If you hold a full UK driving license, that would be a great as the people we support have their own mobility cars. Due to this we do require staff to be over the age of 21 years old for insurance purposes . We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so candidates must be flexible to work on different days and on different shifts and we currently work with early and late shifts from 730 am - 930 pm, as well as some waking nights.
