At Glenwood Care Home, we’re more than just a care facility β€” we’re a home. Nestled in a friendly residential area of Widnes, our service supports 12 wonderful individuals across two cosy 6-bedroom bungalows: Brown House and Hampson House. Our residents, aged between 24 and 68, are unique individuals with a variety of health needs, and we’re proud to provide a warm, person-centred environment where they can thrive.

We’re now looking for a Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager to join our passionate team and help us continue delivering exceptional care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and compassionate clinical professional to take on a leadership role in a truly special setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:
 
πŸ”Ή Clinical Leadership & Oversight
β€’ Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred nursing care
β€’ Manage a clinical caseload and support multidisciplinary collaboration
β€’ Lead clinical procedures in line with NMC, NICE, and organisational standards
β€’ Monitor residents’ health and respond proactively to changing needs
πŸ”Ή Operational & Strategic Support
β€’ Act as the responsible person in the absence of the Registered Manager
β€’ Support with rostering, staffing, and safeguarding procedures
β€’ Lead investigations, manage complaints, and ensure compliance
β€’ Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practice
πŸ”Ή Team Development & Mentorship
β€’ Supervise and mentor staff, conducting appraisals and training
β€’ Lead CPD initiatives and statutory training programmes
β€’ Foster a culture of learning, autonomy, and clinical excellence
πŸ”Ή Regulatory & Professional Standards
β€’ Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety legislation
β€’ Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality and data protection

What We’re Looking For:
 
βœ… Essential:
β€’ Registered Nurse (RN, RMN, RGN) with experience in learning disabilities or mental health
β€’ Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting
β€’ Strong knowledge of safeguarding, MCA, and person-centred care
β€’ Excellent communication, decision-making, and mentoring skills

✨ Desirable:
β€’ Previous Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead experience
β€’ Familiarity with CQC inspections and compliance
β€’ Leadership qualifications (e.g., Level 5 Diploma)
β€’ Experience in clinical audit or research
