Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference?

We currently have Support Worker opportunities for caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our independent supported living team in Wick.

Our Support Workers work in a flexible and customer-led manner that meets the needs and preferences of people we support, enabling them to live the life they choose. You will be committed and dedicated to supporting a young gentleman with Autism, having an ability to follow a detailed person centred care and support plan.

The gentleman we support is an active member of his local community who enjoys being outdoors and physically active. He enjoys swimming in his pool, family and friends time and runs out in his car- so we are seeking colleagues who can drive and can support him with activities and goals.

Shift patterns will vary across Monday-Friday during school hours. 28 hours or 14 hours per week.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes.  This can include:

• Supporting them with medication
• Cooking
• Assisting and prompting with personal care
• Maintaining the homes of people supported and managing their finances

Experience of Autism, Sensory processing and ARFID would be welcomed.

We are seeking support workers who are passionate and eager to learn person centred routines and preferences and be patient and understanding of individuals needs and behaviours.

You’ll be joining an award-winning charity, in an exciting role where you can transform someone else’s life while transforming your own too! Whatever your background, there’s a rewarding career in care for you – one where you can follow your passions and learn new skills too.
